Cedar Lake has added a new performance to their calendar for 2012. The company is excited to be returning the this years Festival! “Distinguished by exceptionally talented and highly individual dancers and a repertory of original works from an international slate of highly sought-after choreographers, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet seems to go from strength to strength. After their wildly well-received 2009 Festival debut, Cedar Lake returns to Charleston with a program of work showcasing the dancers’ versatility and verve. Among the works to be performed are Violet Kid, a carefully calibrated explosion of energy and physicality from Hofesh Schechter, one of the UK’s most exciting young choreographers; and Annonciation, a lush duet from the celebrated French dance maker Angelin Preljocaj.”
