This weekend, the company travels to the Torino Dance Festival in Italy – the first stop on what promises to be an amazing 2012-2013 touring season! Coming up, Cedar Lake will also be traveling to Vancouver, Germany, and, for the first time ever, London. UK’s daily newspaper The Guardian recommends Cedar Lake’s UK premiere at London’s Sadler’s Wells in October as one of the must-see dance events in London this fall – check out the full article here! I live in Turin and I saw both shows you performed here. I think you are an amazing ballet company and you are working very well.
Contemporary ballet is sometimes hard to be appreciated, but you are doing a great job in interpreting and helping people come to it.
I really liked the choreography you played on Tuesday, Orbo Novo, and its particular and great scenery. And I really appreciated the two ballets Tuplet and Grace Engine, you performed on Thursday: this last one captures me, because I think it is very modern, metropolitan and it explores new forms of ‘classic’ elements (I am thinking of the pas de deux, for instance, or what it might remember it).
Thank you for the two great shows! I hope you will come back to Turin soon or maybe see you somewhere around the world.
